My days are filled with being a stay at home mom to my little daughter, time with my husband, my faith, traveling, consuming one too many Mindbodygreen podcasts, and re-reading Harry Potter. I'm a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association in the USA, as well as have a background in nonprofit and my masters in Chinese.
For years I struggled with debilitating periods and awful side effects from every birth control method under the sun. Finally, after years of chronic pain, I was finally diagnosed with severe PCOS and severe endometriosis. After several surgeries and lots of interventions, I was eventually told that nothing could be done and I'd have to live with the side effects the best I could. I should not expect to have children and would most likely need surgeries every few years.

Finally, in 2015, I came across an integrative doctor in the US who listened to me. She gave me options, nutrition help, supplements, and for the first time I started to have hope again. This was also the FIRST time I was ever told what a big role nutrition played in hormonal disorders.
Fast forward nine years later, I have a daughter, no more painful periods, and have learned how my body functions to be able to feel better, accomplish my goals, and just live life. I've learned to balance my hormones naturally and support my body through whole foods and targeted supplementation.
